William R. McClure
Managing

William R. McClure is a
managing partner of Shopping Center Solutions, LLC (SCS) a full
service retail consultancy firm based in Boca Raton, Florida.
McClure formed the company with his wife, the former Robyn Lidskin
in 2006. SCS capitalizes on the experience and background of the
principals, providing retail real estate expertise to owners,
developers and retailers. |
In a changing retail landscape, SCS
offers their results-oriented formula for 3rd party property leasing and
retail tenant representation while saving companies the added costs in
HR, relocation and administration.
Prior to starting SCS, McClure was Senior Vice President of O&S Holdings
a Los Angeles based developer. McClure joined O&S in 2004, with
oversight of leasing, general development and coordination of special
projects for the company. Spearheading the Louisiana Boardwalk project,
McClure has nineteen years experience in the shopping center industry
and has worked for major companies in South Florida and Ohio. |

His expertise includes leasing, center operations,
asset management, new business development, strategic planning, construction,
renovation and expansions, and company mergers and acquisitions. Before joining
O & S Holdings, McClure was Vice President of Real Estate for Talisman Companies
of Coral Gables, Florida, a firm specializing in redevelopment with properties
in Atlanta, Baltimore, Knoxville, Las Vegas, Miami, and Minneapolis.
Upon graduation from the University of Toledo in
1982, McClure joined the management staff of a Florida a sporting goods
retailer. In 1986, McClure relocated back to his hometown of Youngstown, Ohio
where he joined the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation. At the time DeBartolo was
the leading shopping center developer in the world, as well as owner of the San
Francisco 49ers (NFL) and Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL). During the next several
years, McClure served in numerous capacities including marketing director of the
largest mall (at the time) in the US and general manager of several high profile
properties. In 1991, McClure was assigned to the Leasing Department and
developed a reputation for creating, negotiating and implementing unique retail
opportunities for retailers in less than desirable properties. At the same time
he developed and co-edited DeBartolo's first leasing newsletter In-Sites.
In 1996, McClure returned to Florida as Director of Leasing for Gumberg Asset
Management in Ft. Lauderdale and later became Director of Retail Brokerage for
Divaris Real Estate in Miami. At Divaris, McClure did tenant representation for
such clients as Atlanta Bread Co., Bally Total Fitness, Just for Feet and Regal
Cinemas.
McClure's expertise covers all areas of retail real estate and he holds a
Florida Real Estate License. He is a member of the International Council of
Shopping Centers and a faculty member of both its School for Professional
Development at Michigan State University and University of Shopping
Centers for the Wharton School of Business at the University of
Pennsylvania.
